Unique Homecoming taste test will help design an SIU-themed bratwurst

Hungry Southern Illinois University Carbondale football fans will have a chance to be part of a unique taste test after the Salukis’ Homecoming game on Saturday.


First round of flu immunizations is Thursday 

The first round of free flu immunizations for all active and retired SIU Carbondale employees, as well as surviving spouses enrolled in a state-sponsored health plan, is Thursday in the Student Recreation Center Alumni Lounge. The Jackson County Health Department is administering the immunizations twice on campus in the next two weeks.


Ray LaHood to discuss bipartisanship challenges in a deeply polarized Washington, D.C. 

Ray LaHood, a former Illinois congressman and U.S. Department of Transportation secretary, will visit campus Oct. 21 to discuss the challenge of bipartisanship in a deeply divided Washington, D.C.

Voting is underway for the 2019 Southern Illinois University Carbondale homecoming king and queen.

Art and Design students will host annual open house, tours and demonstrations Oct. 18
