Homecoming office door contest registration deadline extended

The registration deadline for departments and offices on campus to register for the fifth annual Homecoming Office Door Decorating Contest has been extended to 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The SIU Alumni Association and University Communications and Marketing are supporting the Saluki spirit by providing door decoration starter kits. In celebration of the university’s 150th anniversary, the goal is to have 150 or more doors on campus decorated for homecoming. The kits will be available for pickup in the new Alumni Center in Woody Hall during regular business hours beginning today


Reminder on state-required training related to sexual harassment

All faculty and staff are reminded they should have completed training related to sexual harassment by the Oct. 5 deadline. Faculty, staff, graduate assistants, student employees and volunteers who have yet to take the training need to do so promptly by accessing their D2L account.


SIU’s nationally recognized arboretum is the place for leaf collection projects 

Home to the highest accredited university arboretum in Illinois, SIU is the first university in the state to earn Level II Arboretum Accreditation from the ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program and is featured on the Morton Register of Arboreta.


‘Open Hours’ training for ‘BigDawg’ available each Friday
