More than 3,000 donors chip in for Day of Giving

Matt Kupec, CEO of the SIU Foundation, noted March 3 was “an incredible day to be a Saluki” as alumni and donors from 50 states and 11 countries raised more than $2.8 million during the 2021 SIU Day of Giving, shattering last year’s record.

Deadlines for student research and creative activities forum approaching

Faculty and staff are encouraged to remind students that the deadline to submit virtual poster sessions for this year’s Research and Creative Activities Virtual Forum is Friday, March 12. Also, organizers have extended the deadline for faculty and graduate students to apply as a judge to March 30.


Former diplomat Barbara Bodine to discuss nation’s international challenges 

Barbara K. Bodine, the director for the Study of Diplomacy at Georgetown University, will share her thoughts on the international challenges facing the United States during a virtual discussion on Thursday hosted by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute.


Virtual appointments for faculty and staff regalia are Thursday

Faculty and staff are reminded that a virtual regalia sale through Herff Jones, a national provider of custom regalia, is Thursday. Graduate students wishing to purchase regalia rather than rent are also welcome.
