Simon Institute launches ‘Meet the Mayor’ series next week 

The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute next week will launch a new series that focuses on how mayors across Illinois are working to serve their communities.

Study, video aim to help preschoolers practice pandemic safety 

A project funded by a grant received by Lisabeth DiLalla will find out, with help from local preschoolers, if superheroes and fun activities can assist in keeping the children safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Public Safety’s September 2020 issue of the ‘Saluki Watch Dawg’ is available. This month’s edition includes theft prevention advice; tips for avoiding identity theft; the Safety, Awareness, Facts and Education website, and ways to manage stress associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saluki fans encouraged to wear SIU apparel on Friday 

Saluki Athletics is encouraging fans to wear SIU apparel on Friday, Sept. 4, as part of the 16th annual College Colors Day.

No SIU Today on Monday 

There will be no SIU Today on Monday due to the Labor Day holiday. SIU Today will resume on Thursday, Sept. 10.
