SIU researchers find naked mole-rat bite force varies with social status in surprising way

Researchers at SIU Carbondale recently published a paper on the naked mole rat after discovering a relationship between the animals’ bite force and social status.

Alumni Association to award textbooks to 36 students 

Three dozen students will be gifted textbooks during the SIU Alumni Association’s annual Textbook Award ceremony on Monday.

New Arts Jazztet will perform Sunday 

New Arts Jazztet, a Southern Illinois jazz group comprised of SIU faculty, will perform at Jazz Vespers, an evening prayer service, at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Carbondale on Sunday.
