SIU’S online MBA program earns repeat national honors

For the third consecutive time, Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s online MBA program has earned national recognition, moving up six spots to No. 27 on the Poets & Quants Top Online MBA Programs of 2020 list.


Mandatory ethics training deadline is Oct. 31

All SIU faculty, staff, graduate assistants, volunteers, student employees and extra help employees are reminded that the deadline for the mandatory 2019 annual ethics training is Thursday, Oct. 31. The ethics training is available on the Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. School of Medicine employees who are on the Carbondale campus will complete training using HealthStream.


Federal appeals court judge to present Beatty lecture 

Judge Michael R. Murphy, who served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit from 1995 until taking senior status in 2012, will present a lecture on “Views from the Bench” at the SIU School of Law on Wednesday.


Conference will provide information about protecting children, students from cybercrimes 

A conference next month at Southern Illinois University Carbondale will focus on educating and protecting children and students from cybercrimes. 


LGBTQ History Month in October features guest speaker and other events 

The university is commemorating October as LGBTQ History Month with a variety of special events, including exhibits, roundtable discussions, a film, a drag show and guest speakers.
