New overtime rules on hold
The U.S. Department of Labor’s new overtime rules, scheduled to go into effect Dec. 1, have been put on hold. The rules, which have been delayed by a preliminary court injunction, would affect some SIU Civil Service and Administrative Professional employees based upon their salaries and responsibilities. Faculty/Staff Appreciation Coffee is Friday
Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell invites the campus community to the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Coffee. The event is from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 2, in Student Center ballrooms A, B, and C. Personal time is not required to be taken to participate in the celebration. The coffee will immediately follow the retirement and service recognition ceremony.
