A SIU Carbondale student team is searching rural Johnson County for possibly one of the earliest Anglo-American homesteads in Southern Illinois.

SIU Versa’tile chamber ensemble to perform June 18

The SIU School of Music will present a free, Versa’tile Chamber Music Ensemble on Wednesday, June 18, in Morris Library’s third-floor rotunda. The performance is at 7 p.m. and part of the Yellow Moon Gyroid Concert Series.

SIU Alumni Association hosting 618 Day celebration Wednesday

Crowning achievement: SIU Carbondale glass MFA student earns top award  

An intricate glass headdress by Nancy Yu, a Master of Fine Arts student in the School of Art and Design, recently earned top honors in a student exhibition at the international Glass Art Society (GAS) conference. 


SIU Today schedule adjusted for Juneteenth  

Next week’s SIU Today will be published on Wednesday, June 18, as the university is closed on Thursday, June 19, to observe Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The submission deadline for the June 18 issue will be 4:30 p.m. Monday, June 16.
