The SIU Day of Giving is moving to the fall. The annual fundraising event will be Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Showcase SIU at the Du Quoin State Fair on Aug. 31
Academic units, departments, student organizations and individuals will have an opportunity to showcase the great programs and services that SIU Carbondale provides to our region and beyond as a part of SIU Day at the Du Quoin State Fair on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Alumni and friends of SIU Carbondale can set their calendars for another exciting round of Saluki Takeover Tours for 2024-2025.
SIU Chicagoland DEI Engagement raises over $10,000 for scholarships
During the inaugural SIU Chicagoland DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Engagement on July 13, over 100 Salukis came together to support scholarships for the SIU Office of Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and to foster a stronger sense of community. The event raised over $10,000.

It’s not too late for children to find fun, adventure and great learning experiences at SIU Carbondale’s 2024 summer camps, including those focused on sports and art.
Changes to People Finder
The People Finder is now available only to faculty, staff and students who are on campus or use the VPN. If you access the People Finder from the siu.edu homepage, scroll down to the footer, where you will find a link and use People Finder as usual. Contact SalukiTech for more information.
SIU’s Export Controls newsletter is available
The monthly SIU Export Controls newsletter for July 2024 is available. The newsletter provides a resource for current export control issues and events that could affect SIU and its faculty. This edition includes guidance on the use of chemical and biological equipment, materials and technology and SIU Export Controls contact information.
Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter is available
The latest Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter for July 2024 is available. The Office of Executive Inspector General publishes the newsletter to allow state employees to stay informed of current issues relating to ethics. The SIU System Ethics Office website is siusystem.edu/ethics.
