Exceptional efforts in the classroom and in their communities helped this year’s Chancellor’s and Provost’s Scholars at SIU Carbondale stand out from their peers.
SIU Carbondale will host “Controlled Environment Agriculture: From Home-Grown to Facilities” on Sept. 9 at the Student Center Auditorium. It is open to all interested in growing and processing cannabis. The symposium is the fourth such gathering hosted by the Cannabis Science Center.
The Faculty Advisory Committee for the SIU System is accepting applications for its inaugural Faculty Collaboration Award. The annual award will recognize faculty for impactful collaborative endeavors across campuses in the areas of teaching, scholarship and creative activities, service, and/or antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion. The nomination deadline is Thursday, Aug. 31.
Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter is available
The monthly Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter for August 2023 is available. The Office of Executive Inspector General publishes the newsletter to allow state employees to stay informed of current issues relating to ethics. The SIU System Ethics Office website is siusystem.edu/ethics.
