Fall 2022 commencement is Saturday
The academic achievements of more than 900 SIU Carbondale students will be celebrated at fall 2022 commencement exercises on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Banterra Center.
Carbondale named among most affordable college towns
Carbondale is the No. 14 most affordable college town, according to BrokeScholar, which offers a searchable database for scholarships and student discounts from retailers.
Encourage fall semester graduates to complete survey
Faculty and staff are being asked by the Career Development Center to remind students of a survey for undergraduate and graduate students who are planning to graduate this week.
View this month’s ‘Saluki Watch Dawg’
The Department of Public Safety’s December 2022 issue of the “Saluki Watch Dawg” is available. This month’s edition includes details for online safety, available crime reporting options, the SAFE website, winter driving tips, winter break residence hall closing information, along with the Saluki Food Pantry and Higher Education Resources and Opportunities (HEROES) programs.
Encourage students to register for spring classes
During finals week and the end of the semester on Saturday, it’s still not too late to remind students to register for spring classes before leaving campus so that they can get the courses they want.
