Like teachers across the country, Ellen Novar had to adapt to online teaching quickly because of the COVID-19 pandemic and measures enacted nationwide to stop the spread of the virus.


Chancellor finalist virtual interviews begin Thursday 

Virtual interviews with the three finalists for SIU Carbondale chancellor start on Thursday. During their respective two-day remote interviews, each of the candidates will hold a public forum that will be streamed live at chancellor.siu.edu/search and posted on the site afterwards. No access codes are required.


School of Medicine launches Pandemic Health Worker Program for remote patient monitoring 

A new partnership between the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services and SIU School of Medicine has formed to establish a new Pandemic Health Worker Program to support the emergent health and wellness needs of people staying at home during this pandemic.
