As we all know, we are in uncharted waters dealing with a virus that has created havoc on all of our social institutions, including family, schools, sports and many, many more. SIU earns national recognition for its commitment to first-generation students

The university is just one of two higher education institutions in Illinois to earn national recognition from the Center for First-generation Student Success.

University again receives honors for sustainability efforts 

For a third consecutive time, the university is gaining national recognition for one of its numerous sustainability efforts.
