The 24th annual “Celebrate Women: Honoring Inclusive Excellence” reception and awards ceremony on March 5 will offer a unique opportunity to honor women and support scholarships.

Know someone who inspires you for their commitment to public service and community? The nomination deadline for the Lindell W. Sturgis Memorial Public Service Award is Feb. 28.


‘Illinois Ethics Matters’ newsletter available 

The monthly Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter for February is available. The Office of Executive Inspector General publishes the newsletter to allow state employees to stay informed of current issues relating to ethics. The SIU System Ethics Office website is at siusystem.edu/ethics.


Veterans and families can enjoy free kayaking at SIU 

Veterans and their families can participate in three upcoming kayaking clinics courtesy of several groups, including Veteran Adventures at Touch of Nature Environmental Center. The first clinic is Wednesday.
