Chancellor to Deliver State of the University Address

Chancellor John M. Dunn will 2019 State of the University address at 3 p.m., Nov. 6. The address will take place in Student Center Ballrooms C and D.


Mandatory Ethics training begins Oct. 1 

Mandatory 2019 annual ethics training for all SIU faculty, staff, graduate assistants, volunteers, student employees, and extra help employees takes place Oct. 1-31 on the Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. School of Medicine employees who are on the Carbondale campus will complete training using HealthStream.


Tips for managing robocalls across campus 

The Office of Information Technology’s Telecommunications Department is providing tips for university employees who received telephone robocalls and malicious spoofing.


October events, exhibitions highlight culture of life along the Mississippi

A series of exhibitions, interactive multi-media presentations and events on campus and in the community will be part of a multi-state effort next month aimed at examining the culture, ecology and economy along the Mississippi River.


Get tickets now for SIU’s 2019-20 SIU Theater productions 

A comedic look at 1980s horror flicks, a classic Harper Lee story, a Pulitzer prize-winning drama and a musical to beat all musicals are all part of the 2019-20 season lineup for the Department of Theater. To wrap up the season, there will also be a special free production, as part of the Big Muddy New Play Festival, featuring student works.

A unique fun twist on the traditional 5k run is coming to campus this Halloween season. The Night of the Living Dawg Zombie 5k Run/Walk is set for Oct. 26 and everyone is welcome.


Deadline for honorary degree/service award nominations is Oct. 23 

The nomination deadline for honorary degree and distinguished service awards that will be presented at May 2020 commencement ceremonies is Oct. 23. Nominations are also open to the SIU School of Medicine in Springfield.
