Radford Leads the Pack as ‘Mom’ for CESL

Her official job title at SIU may be Account Technician III for the Center for English as a Second Language, but Rhonda Radford’s colleagues and the students she helps on a daily basis say “Mom” of the CESL family is perhaps a more accurate name.


Kaitlin McWhorter rides, wrangles and ropes as SIU’s sole Saluki rodeo star

Kaitlin McWhorter is really anxious to jump aboard her horse and compete as a Saluki this week. Yes, that’s right – her horse. She’s the lone person representing Southern Illinois University Carbondale on the college rodeo circuit and her first competition of the season is at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, Thursday through Saturday.
