Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome activities greet students 

The university is welcoming new and returning Salukis to campus with scores of special activities during Saluki Startup and Weeks of Welcome this fall.


New Student Convocation set for Friday night

Faculty and staff are invited Friday for New Student Convocation, featuring Chancellor John M. Dunn. A part of the Saluki Startup kickoff, the event is the formal welcome for all new students and their families to campus.


2019-2020 Information Guide for faculty, staff 

A guide to important, student-related policies, information and resources is online as a reference for all faculty, staff and students. You can access the "2019-2020 Guide to Important Information for SIU Carbondale Students, Faculty, and Staff” on the Office of the Dean of Students website.


Sign up now to help with sustainability efforts

The Sustainability Office is accepting members for working groups aimed at identifying collaborative campus-based solutions across academics, operations, research and campus life. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with campus sustainability and collaborate with others across campus in helping to reach common goals.


Preventing measles in faculty and staff born in the 1960s

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 2019 is on track to be the worst year for measles outbreaks in 27 years. From Jan. 1 through April 11, 555 individual cases were reported in 20 states, including Illinois, and those numbers continue to rise.
