New Student Convocation set for Friday night
Faculty and staff are invited Friday for New Student Convocation, featuring Chancellor John M. Dunn. A part of the Saluki Startup kickoff, the event is the formal welcome for all new students and their families to campus.
Convocation starts at 7 p.m. in Shryock Auditorium.
Other events that evening are:
6 p.m. – Quad party with food and activities.
8-8:15 p.m. – New student photo on the Shryock Auditorium steps. New students will receive special commemorative SIU 150th anniversary T-shirts for the festivities.
8:30-9 p.m. – Saluki Pride Pep Rally, Shryock Auditorium. Features representatives and coaches from the fall athletic teams and the Dawg Pound.
9 p.m. – Film: “Pokémon Detective Pikachu,” Shryock Auditorium.
