I’m pleased that we have been expanding efforts to reach out to students in the region with some significant results. Of course, we always welcome students for open houses and personal campus tours, but with additional outreach, we are bringing even more prospective students to SIU. Full story

Alumnus returns for screening and discussion of ‘a sports civil rights story’

A film about groundbreaking school sports integration in Louisiana will be shown next month on campus by former Saluki football player Oyd Craddock, who wrote, directed and produced “Before the West Coast – A Sports Civil Rights Story.” He is also an alumnus of the school featured in the film. SIU Carbondale recognized as a Sierra Club ‘Cool School’ for third consecutive year
