Former law school dean to deliver Tenney lecture

Peter C. Alexander, former dean of the School of Law, returns to the Carbondale campus Tuesday, March 3, to deliver the Charles D. Tenney Distinguished Lecture for spring 2015. Alexander’s lecture focuses on the subject of a forthcoming book he wrote with his father: “It Takes a Village: The Integration of the Hillburn School System.” More

Workshop available to assist faculty with grades

A faculty workshop offered by the Center for Teaching Excellence will help instructors learn how to create grade categories and items, and how to associate grade items with activities in Desire2Learn (D2L).

The two-hour, hands-on workshop is at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, in Morris Library, Room 174. Pre-registration is required due to limited seating. Registration for this training is available here.

Touch of Nature offers daytime scenic excursions

The public and university students will have the chance to learn about some of the most beautiful natural places in the region. For four Saturdays, beginning March 7, the Touch of Nature Environmental Center will host daytime excursions with “Oh the Places You’ll Go.” More
