Jennifer A. Brobst, associate professor, SIU School of Law, participated in a virtual symposium, “Governing Bodies: Bodily Autonomy and the Law,” as part of the 2022 Detroit Mercy Law Review Symposium on March 4. Brobst presented “Civil Liability for Systemic Risks of Sexual Violence” as part of a panel discussion.

Kofi Akamani, associate professor, forestry, has been selected as a lead author of the thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (nexus assessment) report of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). IPBES was established through a United Nations resolution. The report is expected to be released in late 2024.
