Christopher W. Behan, professor, SIU School of Law, was a recent online guest lecturer on the “The Law of Armed Conflict and Use-of-Force Decisions” at the University of Nairobi School of Law.

Sarah Lewison, associate professor, radio, television, and digital media, recently gave a talk at the Chicago Humanities Festival about bighead and silver carp as part of a program, “Aquatic Animals of the Great Lakes.” She also recently had work about these fish, “Reshaping the Shape,” produced in collaboration with Andrew S. Yang, on exhibit at the Co-Prosperity Dome in Chicago, and another work, “Inheritance,” on exhibition at Watershed Arts and Ecology.

John Reid Perkins-Buzo, associate professor, School of Media Arts, was recently certified in Toon Boom Harmony, the professional studio animation software for 2D animation.

Jyotsna Kapur, professor, School of Media Arts and director, University Honors Program, will participate in “Neoliberal Visions: Culture, Gender and Subjectivity, South-South Dialogues,” a virtual interdisciplinary seminar series sponsored by The Middle East Centre, London School of Economics and Institute of Women’s Studies at Birzeit University, on Dec. 8. The seminar brings scholars together from anthropology, gender studies, media and communications, Middle East studies, and human geography and explores the cultural, gendered, and psychic lives of neoliberalism beyond the global north.
