Day of Giving nets over $3.5M

The SIU Day of Giving reached new heights this year by raising over $3.5 million from more than 2,400 donations in 24 hours. In its six years of existence, the Day of Giving has brought in more than $10 million. In the evening, Chancellor Austin Lane announced the expansion of the Forever SIU fundraising campaign to a goal of $500 million to be raised by the SIU Foundation.

Saluki Pride: Rachel Frazier looks to find solutions that benefit students, staff

As a three-degree SIU Carbondale alumna who is working on a fourth degree, Rachel Frazier, interim director, Office of the Registrar, strives to relay those same positive experiences in working with undergraduate students and university staff. COVID vaccine booster clinic is open today

The Illinois Department of Public Health will hold a “Boost Before Break” clinic in the Renaissance Room at the Student Center from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today, March 3, for faculty, staff and students who want to receive a booster for their COVID-19 vaccines. Pfizer, Moderna and J&J boosters will be available. You can register online in advance. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
