Chancellor’s Scholarships awarded to high achieving local students
Seven high achieving high school seniors from throughout the region are receiving 2022 Chancellor’s Scholarships, which cover tuition, mandatory fees, room and board for four years. Six recipients received surprise personal visits from university officials and Grey Dawg.

SIU open house set for Feb. 21
Undergraduate Admissions will hold a free open house from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 21 for Salukis who will be new to SIU in fall 2022 or later and their families. The event will be based at the Student Center and will include a student panel, campus tours, housing tours, academic showcases and a resource fair. Top Abraham Lincoln scholar to discuss president’s character, eloquence
Douglas Wilson, one of the United States’ leading Abraham Lincoln scholars, will join the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute on Monday, Feb. 21, for a conversation about Lincoln’s character and writing.
