Simon Institute virtual discussion to examine racial inequality, urban unrest

Historian Elizabeth Hinton, a professor at Yale University, will discuss her research on poverty, racial inequality and urban unrest in the United States during a discussion this week hosted by the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute.


SIU students, faculty research area’s history of race and law

School of Law faculty Nolan Wright and Sheila Simon are overseeing a project to examine the historical connections between slavery, race and the law in Southern Illinois, funded by a "Healing Illinois" grant.
