SIU’s Jiyong Lee keeping busy, collecting accolades while on sabbatical

Utilizing his sabbatical to the fullest, Jiyong Lee, School of Art and Design, is not only using his time and talent as a resident artist at the Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York, but his works are receiving accolades in France.

The Department of Public Safety’s March 2020 issue of the ‘Saluki Watch Dawg’ is available. This month’s edition includes safety tips to guard against identity theft; available crime prevention programs on campus; mental health awareness tips, and bicycle rules and safety on campus.


Ultimate Gaming Championship, SIU Automotive partner in motorsports gaming league

Ultimate Gaming Championship (UGC), a leading esports events company and the Department of Automotive Technology are partnering to launch the Motorsports Gaming League (MGL), a competitive online video game racing league designed to foster competition in high schools and colleges globally.


Tayler Hill wins Graduate School thesis competition

A doctoral student in chemistry from Marion will represent the university next month after winning a local Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition for presenting the most compelling thesis among participating students in the Graduate School.
