Tis the season for holiday concerts. And the combined forces of the university’s Choral Union and the SIU Concert Choir will present George Frideric Handel’s famous “Messiah” on Thursday at Shryock Auditorium.

Creative thinking is abundant as HackSI 2019 draws largest crowd in history 

Creativity and innovative thinking were in abundant supply when hundreds of technology enthusiasts converged for the seventh annual HackSI event, Nov. 2-3. The “hackathon” has grown by leaps and bounds since it began just a few years ago and at the end of the two-day brainstorming session, several teams and individuals walked away with bragging rights and prizes.


‘Illinois Ethics Matters’ newsletter available 

The monthly Illinois Ethics Matters newsletter for November is available. The Office of Executive Inspector General publishes the newsletter to allow state employees to stay informed of current issues relating to ethics. The SIU System Ethics Office website is at siusystem.edu/ethics.
