Honorary degree/service award nominations due Wednesday 

The deadline for honorary degrees and distinguished service award nominations is Wednesday, Oct. 25. Honorary degrees are presented to individuals who have made outstanding scholarly contributions or are of considerable renown in any field of activity. Distinguished Service Awards honor individuals who have contributed to Southern Illinois, the state, nation, world or the university. More

Flu immunizations available Wednesday

The Jackson County Health Department will administer free flu immunizations for all active and retired SIU Carbondale employees, as well as surviving spouses in a state-sponsored health plan on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in the Student Recreation Center Alumni Lounge. The Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) will provide the immunizations through Nov. 15.
