State Universities Civil Service Advisory Committee election update 

The planned State Universities Civil Service Advisory Committee election set for Oct. 17 will not be necessary as only one candidate, Shari Garnett, Recreational Sports and Services, petitioned to fill the vacancy. According to the State Universities Civil Service Advisory Committee bylaws to the Merit Board, when the total number of petitions filed equals the number of vacancies to be filled, an election is not necessary. Garnett’s term will begin Jan. 1, 2018 and expire Dec. 31, 2021.
