Volunteer registration open for ‘The Big Event’

Registration is now open for faculty, staff and students to volunteer for the largest one-day service project in the history of the university. April 1, 2017, will be the inaugural “The Big Event: A Saluki Day of Service,” when Saluki volunteers will work in teams to complete projects for non-profit agencies and organizations in the Carbondale area. More


Classes for using ‘BigDog’ supercomputer are available

‘BigDog,’ the university’s cutting-edge supercomputer, is now available to faculty and students through the Office of Information and Technology. OIT is offering instruction sessions Jan. 24, 25, and 31, on how to access and use this powerful research tool. Additional information on registering for a session is available here.


University Honors accepting course proposals

The University Honors Program is accepting proposals for honors courses for UHON 351 – specialized seminars for University Honors Program students. The course proposal deadline for the spring 2018 semester is March 6. More
