In my May 3, 2016, message to campus, I outlined a number of initiatives to support diversity and inclusion at SIU Carbondale. A list of the initiatives and an update on the status of each is available online. This document will be periodically updated throughout the academic year. Provost Fellow Program deadline is Nov. 10 

The Provost Fellow Program provides part-time academic leadership experience and skill development to a member of the faculty who has an interest in academic administration. The selected faculty member will engage in regular operations and activities of the provost’s office. More


Assessment workshops are Thursday 

Faculty and staff who want to learn more about program level assessment and writing student-learning outcomes for a course or program will have the opportunity with a two-part workshop this week. More


‘Illinois Ethics’ newsletter is available 

The monthly “Illinois Ethics Matters” newsletter for September 2016 is now available.  The Office of Executive Inspector General publishes the newsletter to allow state employees to stay informed of current issues relating to ethics. The SIU system Ethics Office website contains information regarding how to file a complaint, relevant contact information, and many other resources.
