A former chancellor whose relationship with the university goes back nearly four decades, and the first known Saluki to fly aboard a space shuttle, will be commencement speakers in May. More


Faculty/Staff appreciation softball game is Tuesday

Join Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell for the faculty and staff appreciation Saluki softball game on Tuesday, April 19, at Charlotte West Stadium. The doubleheader games are at 3 and 5 p.m.  SIU faculty and staff receive free admission when they show their SIU ID at the gate. Also, as a token of Interim Chancellor Colwell’s appreciation, free popcorn will be available at the game. 

This Appreciation Game is part of SIU Athletics’ Southern Illinois Appreciation Week.  Watch for them in the community this week, April 18-22. From 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 22, Saluki Stadium is host to the Saluki Yard Sale, which is open exclusively to faculty, staff, SASF donors and alumni.


Saluki Food Drive will benefit students in need
