Reception planned to welcome Colwells
Members of the faculty and staff are invited to a welcome reception honoring Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell and Mary Colwell. The event is set for Monday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Student Center’s John W. Corker Lounge, and will include light refreshments and a meet-and-greet with Dr. Colwell.

Flu immunizations begin Friday
Free flu immunizations for all active and retired university employees, as well as surviving spouses who are enrolled in a state sponsored health plan, begin this week. Immunizations are available for those whose last names begin with N-Z on Friday, Oct. 16; they are available for those whose last names begin with A-M, Tuesday, Oct. 20. More
Flying Salukis win fifth straight regional title
Another dominating performance, including top finishes in seven of nine events, paved the way for the Flying Salukis to win the National Intercollegiate Flying Association Region VIII title Saturday, Oct. 10. More
Live music soundtrack to accompany screening
A screening of the science-fiction movie classic “Metropolis,” a 1927 silent film in the German expressionist tradition, will include a live organ-music soundtrack. The film is at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16, in Shryock Auditorium. More
