Vigil, ceremony highlight Veterans Day event

Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Walter J. Tomczak, the former commander of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 205, will present the keynote address at a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11, on campus. More


Veteran Ally training sessions set

Veteran Services will present Veteran Ally training for faculty and staff on Thursday, Nov. 13, and Tuesday, Nov. 18. Developed by the ‘Illinois Joining Forces’ working education group, the training program familiarizes faculty and staff with military culture and guidance for identifying resources for students transitioning from military service to academic pursuits. The training on Nov. 13 is from 9 to 10 a.m. in Morris Library Room 725/754. The training on Nov. 18 is from 3 to 4 p.m. in the law school’s Hiram H. Lesar Building Auditorium. SBDC to celebrate three decades of service

Talk to focus on Iraq and ISIL

A roundtable discussion on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is set for Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Hiram H. Lesar Law Building Auditorium. The discussion begins at 6 p.m. Speakers will discuss various aspects of the threat that ISIL poses in the Middle East. More information on the event is available here.


Debate team keeps rolling with tournament wins

Deadline for SECA contributions is Friday

The State Employees Care A Lot (SECA) charity drive runs through Friday, Nov. 7.
