April Imhoff, Center for Learning Support and Testing Services, received the 2014 Service Recognition Award from the National College Testing Association for her contributions as a member of the CAS Task Force.

Faith Miller, Dental Hygiene, published an article in the November issue of the peer-reviewed journal, Dimensions of Dental Hygiene, “Supporting Kids’ Smiles,” which focuses on the importance of school-based sealant programs as a way to reduce dental decay among vulnerable populations.

Sylvia Secchi, Geography and Environmental Resources, presented “Increased Biofuel Production and Water Resources” at the National Academies’ Roundtable on Science and Technology for Sustainability in May. A summary of the meeting is available here.

Heewon Yang, Health Education and Recreation, won the "Professional of the Year" Award from the Illinois Recreation Therapy Association (IRTA) at its conference in November in Chicago/Alsip. The award is for outstanding services and contributions to the profession and the IRTA. Yang has served on the association board for the past eight years and has made 23 presentations at the conference during the past nine years.
