SIU Women’s Club meeting is Jan. 18
If you are interested in joining the SIU Women’s Club and would like to try it out, you are welcome to attend the group’s winter meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 18. The luncheon and social will be in the Chancellor’s Faculty-Staff Lounge at Old Main in the Student Center.
The guest speaker is SIU alumna Michelle Sirles of Rendleman Orchards. The event will be catered by Bake Me Happy. Attendees are asked to preregister. Club membership information is available at womensclub.siu.edu/membership/. Dues are $15 plus an optional scholarship donation.
The SIU Women’s Club has been promoting the interests of women in the SIU community for more than 80 years. Membership is open to any woman who is a current or former SIU Carbondale employee, retiree or alumna or who has a family connection to the university.
The SIU Women’s Club is also accepting applications for two scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year: the Dorothy Morris Traditional Student Scholarship and the Joyce Guyon Non-Traditional Scholarship. The deadline to apply is Jan. 31.
