Novotny Lawrence, Radio, Television, and Digital Media, recently presented his paper “White Mansions, Black Bodies: Get Out and the New Slave Plantation,” at the 2017 Film and History Conference in Milwaukee, Wis.

Sam Chung, Information Systems and Applied Technology, recently presented “Does DevOps Truly Value Collaboration?” at the 18th Korean Computer Scientists and Engineers Association in America (KOCSEA) Technical Symposium 2017 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

“Waveland,” an award-winning experimental film by Cade Bursell, Cinema and Photography, will be shown Dec. 7 at Spectral Microcinema, an underground and experimental cinema in Stevens Point, Wis.  The film focuses on climate change affecting polar ice caps and raising water levels around the world.

Jacob Juntunen, Theater, is continuing to give presentations in Europe. On Dec. 4, he is presenting a masterclass on playwriting at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. On Nov. 29, he discussed his current research on Polish theatre-maker Tadeusz Kantor at the University of Roehampton in London.
