Remind students of mental wellbeing and hazing awareness training

Faculty and staff are encouraged to remind students to complete mental wellbeing and hazing awareness training. All SIU students should have received emails from Vector Solutions with links to both training components. There is no deadline, but students who have not completed training will receive weekly reminders until Dec. 31. The training modules are available until the end of the year.

The goal of Illinois’ Mental Health Early Action on Campus Act is to identify students with mental health needs and connect them to Counseling and Psychological Services.

Similarly, the Higher Education Violation Report Act, recommends annual hazing prevention education on the signs and dangers of hazing. Hazing causes deliberate or unforeseen physical and/or emotional harm. The training provided through Vector Solutions covers how to recognize, prevent, and report hazing.
