SIU Women’s Club welcomes new members
The SIU Women’s Club is holding a fall membership drive. The social organization invites women connected with SIU Carbondale to join a welcoming community focused on friendship, shared interests, service and giving back.
Membership is open to SIU-connected women, including employees and spouses. Members enjoy events throughout the year, including the afternoon high tea, fall social, winter luncheon, scholarship awards reception, along with field and day trips.
Annual membership is $20. With more than 20 interest groups, members can connect with others who share their hobbies and interests while building lasting friendships.
The club also supports SIU students through its annual scholarship program. Through member dues and contributions, the Women’s Club awards at least two annual $2,000 scholarships to SIU women students honoring two former SIU first ladies — the Dorothy Morris Traditional Student Scholarship and the Joyce Guyon Non-Traditional Scholarship.
