SIU celebrates National Student Parent Month

September is National Student Parent Month, and SIU Carbondale has events planned to honor the unique experiences of students who balance academics with the additional responsibilities of being a parent or caregiver.

Events include a family bowling night at the Student Center Bowling and Billiards, Family Reading Night with Grey Dawg and the SIU Alumni Association, and a student-parent lunch and discussion. The first event is today, Sept. 10, from 2-4 p.m. at the Student Center Starbucks for a Drop-In Coffee Hour with Non-Traditional Student Services.
