Saluki Takeover Tour 26-27 starts Tuesday in Atlanta
SIU staff will be in the Atlanta area this week to kick off the 2026-2027 Saluki Takeover Tour. These tours emphasize SIU’s recruiting commitment for both in-state and out-of-state students who will only pay in-state tuition. Staff will visit area high schools and colleges in the region Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 1-4, to meet with administrators and students.
The SIU Foundation will host a Chancellor’s Reception to reconnect with Saluki alumni and friends at the SweetWater Brewing Company from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2.
The visit is the first of several this fall as the Salukis Takeover Tour continues in Illinois and Texas. After Atlanta, this fall’s schedule is:
- Sept. 17-19 — Champaign, Illinois.
- Oct. 27-30 — Chicago.
- Nov. 16-20 — Dallas and Houston, Texas.
