‘Puppies and Yoga for a Purpose’ is Saturday

SIU faculty and staff are invited to participate in “Puppies & Yoga for a Purpose,” a special community event supporting veterans, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Saluki Stadium. 

Held in recognition of National PTSD Awareness Day and as part of the lead-up to America’s 250th birthday, this event offers participants a meaningful way to refresh, recharge and give back. Whether you enjoy yoga, love dogs or are simply looking for a way to support veterans, this event will feature a morning of stretching, smiles, and puppy cuddles. 

The registration fee is $35. The proceeds support This Able Veteran and its mission to provide life-changing service dogs to veterans living with post-traumatic stress disorder.
