Volunteer judges needed for Region 8 Science Fair

Volunteers can play a vital part in ensuring the success of the annual Illinois Junior Academy of Science Region 8 Science Fair on Feb. 24. Faculty, staff, SIU students and community member judges are needed as more than 150 students from across the region from grades 7-12 will be competing.

This year’s fair features 19 project categories. Volunteers are needed for two judging sessions: 8:45-11 a.m. and 10:45 to 1 p.m. Volunteer to judge one or both sessions by registering online.

The event is held in the SIU Student Center. Students are competing for the chance to advance to the April 24 state competition.
