Workshop on building an organic farm fertility system is Sunday
A free, public workshop on whole-farm fertility systems design and management will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Dunn Richmond Economic Development Center. Registration is required.
“Fertile Ground” is designed for organic, transitional and small-scale growers. Amanda Weidhuner, an assistant professor in the School of Forestry and Horticulture, is among the presenters. Sponsored by Food Works, the workshop will blend soil science, composting essentials and regional resource mapping, and participants will draft a personalized whole-farm fertility plan. Learn more.
