Naturalist photographer to highlight work Nov. 19
The Center for Teaching Excellence will host naturalist photographer Suzanne Asaturian in a discussion of her work on Nov. 19 in Morris Library, Room 110.
Asaturian’s presentation, “Nature's Classroom: How I brought biology to life as a naturalist photographer,” is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Registration is requested but not required. Wine and cheese will be served.
An SIU Carbondale alumna, Asaturian was a biology teacher for 35 years at Carbondale Community High School. She combines her passions for both the natural world and photography to continue to learn and to educate others.
She will discuss how she incorporates outdoor education into stunning captures of migratory birds, native wildlife, astral photography and breathtaking landscapes throughout Southern Illinois.
