You’re invited to a Conversation on Equitable Funding for Illinois Higher Education

SIU Carbondale faculty, staff and students are invited to a Conversation on Equitable Funding for Illinois Higher Education, a presentation and discussion on SB 13 / HB 1581: The Adequate and Equitable Funding Formula from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Old Main Room of the Student Center. Doors will open at 4 p.m. 

Hosted in partnership between SIU Carbondale and the Coalition for Transforming Higher Education Funding, this event will include a panel discussion and community conversation, and it will feature opportunities to connect with university leaders, including SIU System President Dan Mahony, as well as higher education experts and advocates. 

“A true engine of equitable opportunity, SB 13 / HB 1581 has the potential to transform funding for Illinois’ public universities for generations to come, ensuring greater opportunity for students across the state,” Mahony said.
