Volunteers needed to help with SIU Day on Sept. 24

Faculty and staff can welcome hundreds of high school students to campus this month and help them discover what makes SIU Carbondale the place to be for college. The event typically attracts more than 500 students from the region. 

Volunteers are still needed for SIU Day on Sept. 24 to assist with a variety of activities as students take part in academic breakout sessions and tour the campus. The volunteer roles include greeting, ushering and leading groups to breakout sessions in the morning and early afternoon. All students will begin their day in the Student Center Ballrooms. 

Volunteers should sign up online by Sept. 19. Volunteers are encouraged to choose areas they feel most comfortable and receive training information via email prior to their shift and on-site.
