Spring 2025 SIU senior art exhibition on display

CARBONDALE, Ill. — An exhibition this week is highlighting the work of 20 seniors in Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s School of Art and Design.

The works are on display today through Friday, May 9, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Glove Factory Studio Art Building at the Surplus Gallery on campus. A closing reception, also open to the public, is in the gallery from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, following commencement ceremonies for students in the College of Arts and Media.

Each of the students presents various artworks that include photography, glass, metals and communication design as part of the Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis requirement to graduate.

The seniors, along with their specializations, are:

  • Erin Kelley, general studio.
  • Lukas Kohler, metals.
  • Olivia Posey, glass.

  • Mallory Troue, communication design.
