SIU alum to discuss how he launched a successful business while in school
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois University Carbondale alumnus Adam Wolfe will discuss his journey from student to successful businessman at 6:30 p.m. April 10 at Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center, 1740 Innovation Drive. The public is invited to the free event hosted by the Saluki Entrepreneur Corps, an SIU registered student organization dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
A 2016 graduate of SIU with a bachelor’s degree in automotive technology, Wolfe also has a minor in marketing. As a student, he saw an unmet need and conceived plans for Boost Auto, which has become a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality aftermarket auto accessories. The company launched in 2015, while he was still in college, and has grown into a successful West Chicago enterprise employing more than 30 people.
Wolfe is still involved with his alma mater, serving on the Saluki Automotive Advisory Board, where he works to help ensure the university’s automotive technology program continues to meet the needs of today’s students. He has also established a scholarship through Boost Auto to support current SIU students.
Along with sharing valuable business insights, Wolfe will discuss his passion for giving back to SIU and the entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow.
