Secure your business against online threats, attend SIU’s cybersecurity workshop

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Almost daily, stories of cyber-attacks flood the news, but the Illinois APEX Accelerator and the Office of Innovation and Economic Development at Southern Illinois University Carbondale are offering a special workshop to help area business owners protect themselves from cyber threats.

The “No-Cost Cybersecurity Workshop” is set for 9-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Dunn-Richmond Economic Development Center, 1740 Innovation Drive in Carbondale. The exclusive workshop features Terance Henry, a regional cybersecurity expert, small business owner and internationally known global information systems developer. Brenda Henderson, director of the Illinois APEX Accelerator at SIU, will also provide valuable guidance.
